Only thing is given this is a fairly new casino you lose your money super quick and it's hard to make it stretch despite your best efforts like in Atlantic City. (I lost about $30 every 25 minutes or so) so I only stayed for four hours and I didn't even break even or close to it. Then again, that's what happens when you gamble.
Was there last week with some friends and had an amazing time!! Place was clean and the room was cute. Ate at the restaurant inside the casino and was very impressed. Service was good and the manager Perry went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. He was very attentive & has great energy. Would recommend and will be back!!
The casino selection was good but I would have loved some more entertaining machines. They all seemed kind of similar and the ones that weren't (like the Titanic slot machine) were always super crowded.
I'm planning on going there again around my birthday in late November because despite some of my issues I still had a good time and it was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Plus it's local so I save money that way.
Extra points for the soda machine fountains in the casino. This is a major plus to me because I didn't have to wait for a waitress to come around or wait for my drink order on the machine like I do in AC and other casinos. If I was thirsty I could just walk to the soda fountain and get it myself.
Aside from working at every station and leading by example, the Manager guy Perry has the fastest pace when moving around the hotel, restaurant and bars. He always takes the time to make me and my wife feel special and treats us like dignitaries. But where ever we go in that place he is already ahead of us and greeting us. Great experience. Thank you Perry. Jalyssa our waitress was full of smiles too and is very helpful.
Everywhere I go at Jake's 58 I see Perry working hard and smiling. Between cleaning the self-serve coffee station, cleaning tables at the restaurant, taking food orders and delivering food. Last Saturday Night my husband and I had a nightcap at the bar where Perry poured us the drinks and when we retired to our room, we even saw him in the hallway on our floor delivering room service. Managers that teach by example are key. Perry introduced us to Adam at the bar and Tonianne in gaming that taught us how to play some fun machines. Great Experience
Went to the casino for the first time today. Wasn't a bad experience and was better than I initially expected it to be.
Ten floors and only one working elevator. Even better, up or down every trip stops at the casino, even if the button for it isn't pressed. The website indicated all room have a coffeemaker, but my room didn't have one, the person at the front seat offered me a cup of coffee "for free" from the restaurant... The bed was soft, too soft for me but I imagine some might welcome it. Throughout the lobby and bistro music plays... Almost too loud to maintain conversations. I'm sure the staff means well, but it seems that circumstances prevented an enjoyable stay. Your mileage may vary.
